Strong Girls....Empowered Women

ROX is an evidence based empowerment program for girls in elementary, middle, and high school that focuses on self-esteem, self-concept, body image, healthy assertiveness, healthy relationships, leadership, career development, and

sexual violence prevention.

ROX was developed to assist girls in developing the skills to deal with the social, personal, and academic issues of adolescence such as: body image, self-concept, self-esteem, relational aggression, sexual harassment and violence, academic and career development, and leadership development.

Based on the philosophy that prevention is preferable to intervention, ROX seeks to equip girls with the information and skills needed to live healthy, independent, productive, and violence free lives.  Through teaching girls these important skills, and improving self-esteem at a young age, our goal is to positively impact the course of their lives and to assist them in becoming empowered and confident women.

To date, the ROX program has been successfully delivered to hundreds of girls in Central Ohio schools and over 50 girls via the YWCA and Girl Scouts Seal of Ohio.
