Maryland: Zipporah learns her voice is an incredible force.

A Story About: Zipporah, a 10th grade ROX Girl from Maryland

Key ROX Program Outcomes: Increased confidence to use her voice
Did You Know? 86% of girls have higher levels of self-esteem and self-confidence after participating in The ROX Program for Girls.

“Zipporah (Zip) has cerebral palsy and a visual impairment. At the start of ROX, Zip shared experiences feeling devalued, doubted, and in her words, ‘like she was a burden to others.’ Throughout ROX, I witnessed Zip not only find her voice, but learn that it is an incredible force.

Zip began to advocate for herself in a new way and found her passion advocating for the mental health needs of her friends in the disability community.”
